Welcome

How to find us

A word from our Headteacher Miss Tracey Ali…

Welcome, through the wonders of technology, to ArnettHills J.M.I. School.

I have been extremely fortunate in that all my experiences in education have been happy ones; from primary school through secondary (Queens’ School, Bushey) and onto university (Warwick).

Perhaps this has shaped my vision for my own school. I truly believe that each child is a success story. It is the duty of all the adults in the lives of these children to support them and help them to achieve.

I am fortunate to work with a caring, dedicated group of staff who want our children to succeed. We view our profession as being central to producing responsible, respectful children who have a love of learning. In addition to the challenge of broad classroom studies, we want our children to enjoy a variety of experiences. We have established a growing extra curricular programme: languages, sports, art and crafts, cookery, music and homework club.

As a graduate of French and European Literature, I value highly the importance of learning languages. French is taught weekly as part of the curriculum to all junior pupils atArnettHillsSchool. Currently there are two fee paying extra-curricular sessions where French is taught to all pupils.

I am eager to promote the pursuit of sporting activities both for enjoyment and competition. Our children participate in regular P.E. lessons but also have opportunities to join clubs for example netball, football, tennis, dancing, cross country and multi-skills.

Having enjoyed playing competitive netball for a number of years I feel it is important to communicate the positive aspects of sports with our children; fair play, sportsmanship, enjoying a win but coping with defeat and striving to improve one’s own performance.

I believe wholeheartedly in a team ethos. The children, staff, parents and governors of my school along with the members of the wider community form that team. I am in a privileged position leading such a team and I look forward to many happy years ahead at Arnett Hills.
