Who are we?
Ash Patil – Chair of Governors. “As a governor I bring simplicity and a renewed enthusiasm and optimism to the board of governors with my boundless energy.” Ash and his family have been residents of Rickmansworth for over 30 years. He has an engineering background and postgraduate degree in Operations Research. Ash is a cricket and a music lover and in his spare time is always keen to help promote these amongst young people.
Poula Budge is Vice Chair of the Governing Body and brings with her a wealth of longstanding experience from her time as a teacher and headteacher of a local primary school.
Jennifer Hurrell – was co-opted as Associate Governor in Spring 2012, and appointed as a Parent Governor in September 2012. She has two children at the school, and also helps as a parent helper in the school library. She works as a solicitor, and is a partner of a Watford law firm.
Kate Coteman – was initially appointed as a Parent Governor in September 2012. She has one child currently at the school, with another two to come. She has a degree in Politics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing. She has worked in the advertising industry for 16 years, currently as Director of Brand Partnerships and Advertising at Discovery Channel.
I retired in July 2016 from Chalfonts Community College where I taught English for the past twelve years. I am married with three adult daughters who were educated locally. I am originally from Cork in Ireland but moved to Rickmansworth in 1979. I now live in Chorleywood. Keen to stay involved in education I volunteer with Year 1 every Thursday morning.
