Week beginning 22nd June 2020
Well done for another great and positive week of online learning; I know it can be tricky to motivate yourselves but you’re all doing an amazing job!
This week is slightly different. In our English sessions, we will be doing a week of Topic work, meaning that Topic on the website, will be swapped with five daily POBBLE writing activities. Get in touch on TEAMS if you have any problems.
This week’s resources uploaded include:
TOPIC – ONLINE: 11:50am
POBBLE ENGLISH
Please take a look at the five attached POBBLE tasks. The children know how to use these as I showed them at the start of lockdown. They do not need to do every page but I’d suggest spending half an hour on one per day.
READING
Find attached a reading comprehension about Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. This is a simplified version of the story but helps the children to think carefully about the order in which events happen and to become more familiar with the characters in preparation for their performance in Year 5.
MATHS
ONLINE: 9:35am
There is a PDF with a sheet of maths tasks for each day of the week. They say 10 minutes but they may take you longer.
I’ve added a multiplication board game as well. Perhaps you’d like to make your own board game based on the times tables you know you may need help with.
ART
Think carefully about the scene in Twelfth Night when the ship is destroyed in the storm. I’d like you to spend some time, on plain paper, on a shop bought canvas, using chalk on the pavement, (however you wish), to interpret this scene by drawing how you think it might look. Art inspiration
CREATIVE
I have added an additional task for you. Each week, these different tasks will allow you to get imaginative and build, make, bake, draw etc. to create the scenario given. Take photos and send them in for the website or upload them into the Week 9 sharing area on TEAMS.

I’m hoping that you’ve all been getting lots of vitamin D from the gorgeous sunshine we’re having and also trying plenty of the well-being tasks. Metal health starts with physical health so I hope you’ve managed to join Joe Wicks or do some Jazzercise; whatever gets your heart pumping!
