I would like you to create a Jar of Positivity. This doesn’t have to be a jar, it could be a yogurt pot, a Tupperware pot or even a box. The idea of the jar is so you can open it every day and choose a piece of paper (folded up). On this piece of paper it might have a task, a quote, an inspirational phrase, something that will give your day a purpose.
I have set up a positivity jar at home for my family. To set this up, I used two pieces of coloured paper. On the yellow paper, I wrote lots of inspirational/mindfulness quotes/sayings that I knew could lift up someone’s spirits and make them appreciate their lives. On the pink paper, I wrote a task. This task was achievable and didn’t involve money. I included a range of exercise tasks and I made sure that I included tasks which required the reader to reflect upon themselves. One of my tasks was for someone to write down 3 things that they liked about themselves. Another of my tasks was for someone to complete 50 star jumps throughout the day.
Please feel free to take photos of you completing tasks/creating your positivity jar as I’m sure it will inspire other members of the school to do their own! My Covid time capsule

A big well done to you all for last week. We have now completed our first week of online learning and you all have been brilliant. Thank you for persevering through all of the technical issues and for remaining patient whilst we all get used to a new way of working. I, for one, have learnt a lot this week and have been adapting each day. Please, if you continue to feel anxious about online learning, remember that you are not alone! It is completely normal to feel a bit uneasy about this abnormal way of working. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself and remember, if I ask you a question online, if you don’t know then simply say ‘pass’. You can always continue to practise the learning once the lesson is over as our sessions are very short.
Thank you to those who are listening to my requests about waiting until I have started the meeting to join in. Also, thank you to those who are not writing in the chat section before/after the lesson. It makes the lessons run much more smoothly.
