Optional Ancient Egyptian Homework Project – Year 3– DUE FRIDAY 14th NOVEMBER
Listed below are 20 different activities relating to our Ancient Egyptian topic. You may choose to complete 1 or as many of the activities as you wish. You may choose to display your work anyway that you wish to e.g. a book, posters, power point or combination of any of these. If you make something using materials, you can take photos of them if you don’t want to bring it into school.

1) Research and write some paragraphs about Tutankhamen. Draw a picture of the pharaoh Tutankhamen beside your written work. | 2) Invent a new set of hieroglyphics and write them out. Then use them to write your name and title of your homework project. | 3) Take a piece of A4 paper and split this up into 8 squares. In each square draw a cartoon sketch about daily life in Ancient Egypt. | 4) Draw a net of a square based pyramid with the triangles all having angles of 60 degrees. |
5) Construct a pyramid – using any suitable materials e.g. lego, unifix cubes or sugar cubes etc. | 6) Think of 5 ways that the Nile could be used to improve the environment. | 7) List ten things that we would not see in Ancient Egypt.

This term we are learning about the Ancient Egyptians! We have been busy with our art lessons, making Canopic Jars and creating our own Ancient Egyptian Gods. We have also been learning how to write our names in Hieroglyphics and have created fact-files on King Tutankhamun. We are continuing this topic over to the next half term and are very excited to learn more about the Ancient Egyptians!
